Gamma provides two different ways to create content:

I like the idea of AI creating whole presentations, and that's why I'll walk you through this process. First, the AI asks you to pick the type of content you wish to create.

Once you've settled on the content type, you then choose your topic. I asked Gamma to make a document on dinosaur history.

The AI then drafts an outline, which you can tweak if needed. I found the generated outline quite solid, so I continued without making any changes.

Another aspect is choosing your preferred theme. If you're not sure, let AI surprise you!

And voila, Gamma quickly produces a complete, solid presentation.

Of course, the AI does the heavy lifting, but you can tweak the final output. You get a toolbar on the right to change layouts, generate text with AI, add new blocks, and more.

Editing Documents

Gamma is great when it comes to editing slides. You can spruce up your slides with new blocks and even add interactive elements.

Gamma allows you to upload images, search for visuals online, use royalty-free images, embed GIFs from GIPHY, add Figma prototypes, and, my personal favorite - you can include live webpages and apps in the presentation.

I tried this by embedding my blog into one of the slides. All it took was pasting the link, and the fully functional website bookmark was integrated into the slide.

Edit with AI

Here's where Gamma really excels. It doesn't just enable you to create slides using AI, but it also allows for their refinement. At any point, you can use an AI chatbot to adjust your slide layout, alter components, introduce new ones, substitute images, and carry out various other changes.

Select the slide you want to edit, tell the AI what you want to change, and watch it work its magic. For instance, I asked the chatbot to make the text on my slides more engaging.

Creating and editing slides with AI is undoubtedly my favorite Gamma feature. It only takes a few seconds to produce satisfying results that require minimal, if any, further polishing.
